There is no vaccine for yellow fever. It has been a difficult task to find a vaccine for the disease because it is not caused by bacteria or virus but by a virus. The best way to prevent the disease is to avoid mosquito bites, which can transmit the virus.

The first vaccine was developed in 1936 and it was made from killed viruses that were injected into people who had already had yellow fever. The second vaccine was developed in 1944 and it was made from live viruses that were injected into people who had never had yellow fever before
