Karachi: The team was knocked out of the football tournament for match-fixing


In the ongoing Ramadan Cup Floodlight Football Tournament in Karachi, the team was eliminated from the event due to match fixing.

 Organizers say match between National Shaheen and Babel Sports was fixed, after videos went viral on social media, organizers took action.

 Tournament Secretary Nasir Ismail said that the team involved in fixing National Shaheen has been eliminated from the semi-finals while Babylon Sports was already out of the tournament.

 Nasir Ismail also said that players of both the teams were involved in match fixing.

 On the other hand, Babel Sports Club participating in the match has also taken action against its players and imposed a four-month ban on the players involved.
