According to sources, Shahbaz Sharif has moved into the Prime Minister's House
On Monday, Shehbaz Sharif was elected as Pakistan's 23rd prime minister.
ISLAMABAD: Well-informed sources claimed Tuesday morning that newly-elected Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has moved to the PM House with his family.
After receiving a guard of respect earlier today, the prime minister travelled to his official house in the Red Zone. He was also introduced to the PM House authorities and employees.
Shehbaz Sharif, the Opposition's joint candidate, was elected as Pakistan's 23rd prime minister a day earlier, following the expulsion of PTI chairman Imran Khan.
Shehbaz received 174 votes, compared to Shah Mahmood Qureshi, the PTI's candidate, who received 0 votes as his party opted to boycott the poll and declared a mass resignation from the National Assembly.
It's worth noting that the PTI government announced plans to turn the opulent PM House into a university, but the project fell through during Imran Khan's term.
