Riz Ahmed showered acclaims on Brooklyn-based Pakistani entertainer Arooj Aftab and saluted her for winning first Grammy.
Taking to Instagram stories, Oscar victor Riz Ahmed shared a photograph of Arooj from the Grammys and expressed, "Well done on your first Grammy!!! Yeaaassss!!! followed by a heart emoticon.
Arooj Aftab won the lofty prize for her tune "Mohabbat" in the Best Global Performance classification.
The 37-year-old - - who has lived in New York for somewhere in the range of 15 years - - has been consistently acquiring worldwide consideration for her work that wires old Sufi practices with emphases of society, jazz and moderation.
"I'm past excited," the craftsman told writers behind the stage at the pre-function service, at which by far most of grants are distributed. "It feels incredible."
"I've been extremely anxious day in and day out. Furthermore, we're looking great so far."
Brought into the world to Pakistani guardians in Saudi Arabia, Aftab spent her teen years in Lahore prior to migrating to Boston's renowned Berklee School of Music to concentrate on melodic creation and designing.
She delivered her third studio collection "Vulture Prince" to basic praise, and acquired significantly more consideration after previous US president Barack Obama incorporated the track "Mohabbat" on his 2021 summer top picks list.
