Request to arrest Nawaz Sharif on repatriation rejected
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday dismissed a petition filed by Nawaz Sharif seeking restraint of his diplomatic passport and arrest on his return home.

Earlier, the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court, Athar Minallah, heard the petition of Naeem Haider, a citizen. The petition includes Home Secretary, Foreign Secretary and Nawaz Sharif among others.
The text of the appeal expresses that Nawaz Sharif is a sentenced criminal from equity who is being given a political visa.
The appeal fights that Nawaz Sharif additionally played with this court and got away and was pronounced an outlaw. Giving a strategic visa to an indicted criminal is against the soul of the Constitution.
The petitioner's counsel requested that orders be issued against Nawaz Sharif for issuing diplomatic passports and that he be arrested on his return home and produced in the relevant court.
Chief Justice Athar Minallah said, "Tell me, when did the federal government issue the order which affected you? This court will not issue any order in the air."

Chief Justice Athar Minallah said that there are court decisions, it is necessary to surrender the advertisement, if there is any advertisement then action will be taken against him according to law.
Counsel for the petitioner said that if the passport was issued to the advertiser, then it is a question of honor of this court. The Chief Justice remarked that honor of this court is a court decision.
Chief Justice Atharmanullah said that the court already has very important cases, valuable time is for sailan, why not fine you for wasting court time.
On this occasion, the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court reserved judgment on the admissibility of the petition, which was later heard.
