Ranveer Singh discusses his character choices, stating that he does not want to be typecast
'Each role I choose to play is incredibly distinct from the next,' says Ranveer Singh.
Ranvir Singh is widely recognised as one of the top Bollywood actors of recent years, as he consistently enthrals audiences with his acting prowess in each film.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, the 36-year-old actor opened up about his character choices, admitting that he does not want to be typecast.
"For me, the best thing about being an actor is that you can live so many lives and experience so much because each role that I choose to play is remarkably different from one another," the 83-year-old actor told the news site.
"For the longest time, when people saw Band Baaja Baaraat, they thought I was a boy who was born and raised in Delhi," the actor added. "This has happened numerous times over the course of my 11-year career, and that to me is the highest praise since I enjoy persuading people that I can morph into anyone."
"I'm tremendously inspired by the shape-shifting, chameleon-like actors across the world like Daniel Day-Lewis," Ranveer stated when asked about his sources of inspiration.
"As a result, I anticipate metamorphosis on the big screen with each picture." From my first release to my most recent, 83, in which I played the renowned Kapil Dev," says the actor.
I have a personal goal of never being typecast, and it's a difficult one to achieve, but I pick my scripts carefully. "I believe I truly embody these roles in my life," he continued.
Ranveer Singh is preparing to dazzle the audience with his upcoming film Jayeshbhai Jordaar, in which he will portray a Gujrati child.
On May 13th, 2022, the social comedy drama will be released in theatres.
