Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Omar Ata Bandial has said that violation of the Constitution is not a trivial matter, some people immediately go to Article 6.
A five-member larger bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Umar Ata Bandial heard the presidential reference filed for interpretation of Article 63A and the lifelong disqualification of deviant members of PTI.
During the hearing, the Chief Justice remarked that the Chief Justice said that when 15,000 people gather and start criticizing the court decisions, then why announce the decisions? Political leaders are expected to defend court decisions in public, and it is our responsibility to uphold and protect the constitution.

The Additional Attorney General stated that he had requested for adjournment of the case till the appointment of new Attorney General. Chief Justice Omar Ata Bandial said that the Attorney General has completed his arguments. The arguments of the political parties are still pending.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan said that a request of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has also been received. PTI lawyer Babar Awan requested that notices be issued to the parties.

During the hearing of the reference for the interpretation of Article 63A, the Chief Justice remarked that there were severe consequences of deviation in the 1973 constitution, followed by martial law of Zia-ul-Haq. It was pointed out that now you are free. Article 63A was added in 2010 by the 18th amendment. Deviation from the constitution is a violation of the constitution.
