In court, Johnny Depp delivered a stunning message to Amber Heard.

While the former couple fights a defamation claim in court on Wednesday, Depp's next-door neighbour Isaac Baruch is questioned about texts sent to him by the actor in October 2016.

Depp expressed his wish for Heard's "rotting carcass to be decomposing in the f——-g trunk of a Honda Civic" in the text. "Yeah, it was written," Baruch said, confirming that the message had been despatched. "That c—- ruined such an f——-g cool life we had for a while," Depp texted about Heard.

Elaine Bredehoft, an attorney, is representing Amber Heard.

Meanwhile, as he detailed Depp's suffering amid domestic violence allegations, Baruch left everyone in the court in tears.

"It's not right. It's not right that she did what she did and that so many others were touched by it. It's mind-boggling how this came to be."

"Mr. Baruch, you don't know whether Mr. Depp has perpetrated domestic violence against Amber Heard, do you?" Bredehoft inquired. After a brief pause, Baruch responded, "I've never seen or heard anything like what's being claimed. Ever."

Depp, 58, filed a defamation lawsuit against Heard, 35, over an op-ed she penned for the Washington Post in 2018 on surviving domestic violence.
