Hamza Shahbaz takes oath as Punjab Chief Minister, presents Guard of Honor
Newly elected Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz took oath, becoming the 21st Chief Minister of Punjab.
After taking oath as the Chief Minister of Punjab, Hamza Shahbaz Sharif reached the Chief Minister's House where he was presented guard of honor.
Earlier, Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf administered oath to him.
After taking oath, Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz hugged the Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf.
The event was also attended by PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz, Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and party leaders.
The swearing in ceremony of Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz was held at Governor House Lahore.
Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz drove himself to the swearing-in ceremony at the Governor House, accompanied by Maryam Nawaz.
Hamza was given the full protocol of the Chief Minister
After taking oath, Hamza Shahbaz left the Governor House. He has been given all the protocol and security of the Chief Minister.
One thousand guests at the Governor's House
Sources said that arrangements were made for seating one thousand guests for the swearing-in ceremony inside the Governor House.
DIG Operations Dr Abid Khan reviewed the security arrangements at the Governor House and directed the officials to remain alert.
He said that establishment of law and order and protection of life and property of citizens is a priority.
Security tight at Governor House
A heavy contingent of police was deployed outside the Governor House and security was beefed up during the swearing in ceremony of the Punjab Chief Minister.
