The schedule for the election of Deputy Speaker National Assembly is likely to be released today.

 Shahida Akhtar Ali, Murtaza Javed Abbasi and Agha Hassan Baloch have received nomination papers for the election of Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly.

 It may be recalled that Qasim Suri, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, had resigned from his post last week.

 After that the National Assembly session was chaired by PML-N leader, former speaker and panel of chairman Ayaz Sadiq.

 During the National Assembly session, the leader of Pakistan Peoples Party, former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf was elected unopposed as the Speaker of the National Assembly.
