The Pakistan Olympic Association has decided to conduct dope tests on all athletes participating in the Commonwealth Games.
The Pakistan Olympic Association has made a big decision after the dope tests of Pakistani athletes came positive in the last one month.
Talking to Geo News, Secretary Pakistan Olympic Association Khalid Mehmood said that it has been decided to conduct dope tests on all the athletes participating in the Commonwealth Games while a plan has also been drawn up for doping awareness.
He said that it has been decided to conduct dope tests on all the athletes participating in the Commonwealth Games so that no athlete suffers from doping and the country is not tarnished.
Khalid Mehmood said that a three-day seminar on doping awareness is being conducted, which will be held from April 19 to 21, in which athletes and officials will be told which items or drugs are prohibited under WADA rules.
He said it would be important to know which drugs and substances could be used to test for dope, which is important to be aware of.
Khalid Mahmood further said that for this reason, the medical team of POA will also visit the ongoing camp for Commonwealth Games and inform the players about this.
The Commonwealth Games will be held in Birmingham, England from July 28. Pakistan will participate in more than 12 games.
